Secure Freight’s first offices opened in 1987. What started out as a Vancouver-based company grew to operate offices across North America as well as overseas. The immediate focus was inbound freight from the Far East as many other overseas freight forwarders did not have any North American networks at the time. Secure Freight quickly gained a strong reputation in the shipping sector, thanks to the positive response and support of the local importing community. In the years that followed, we expanded to cover all major North American hubs, enabling us to reach not only large cities but re-forward cargo to many in-land locations such as those in the prairies and the mid-west. With increased trade volume between Canada and United States, Secure Freight expanded and continues to expand south to provide our clients and agents with reliable and efficient services across North America.

We focus on pre-planning and tailoring effective solutions to each individual client to best handle their unique shipping needs. Secure Freight handles cargo of different nature, sizes and shapes, varying from textiles, garments, electronics, lumber, perishables and dangerous goods. Knowledge of products and country-specific regulations and requirements allow us to best prepare, maintain smooth operations and ensure deliveries are made on time.

Secure Freight has developed a global network that covers all major cities around the world. This network is based in part on our agent network. We carefully select each agent based on their qualifications including breadth of services, local network, experience level, communication skills, overall credibility, financial stability and efficiency. Frequently, we have to meet them in person, tour around their facilities and do further research and background checks to qualify them. It is a slow process that must be done thoroughly to ensure that all members of the Secure Freight network are committed to the same high level of service that our customers have come to expect.
