Ocean-Air Freight Ltd. is a locally owned and operated Calgary freight forwarding company. In 1990, Stephan Reize incorporated Ocean-Air Freight Ltd after managing freight forwarding offices in Basel, New York, and Toronto. Stephan and his staff are professionally trained in logistics, and have over 50 years of experience in the shipping industry, moving all types of cargo, whether 10 kg or 140,000 kg. We are continually learning in an ever-changing industry, and are confident that we will provide you with the best available options in moving your freight.
STEPHAN was born in Basel, Switzerland. Stephan began his freight forwarding career in 1977 as a 19 year old apprentice. Shortly after starting, his company sent him across the world to work first in their New York office, and then in their Toronto office. It was in Toronto that Stephan met his wife, Carol, and they moved out west to Calgary. In 1990, Stephan ventured out to start his own freight forwarding company, Ocean-Air Freight Ltd. His love for adventure has not changed, and he continually travels the world with his wife Carol. Whenever he has free time, you will find him skiing or working his farm. You will not find a harder working or diligent man than Stephan. There is no ‘impossible’ in his vocabulary. Talk to him if you need help in German or French.
GLEN joined his dad, Stephan, in the shipping business, and has been working in company operations for 11 years. He is currently taking over marketing and accounting responsibilities too. He went to school for business, and has travelled to many countries, living for periods of time in Thailand and the Philippines. In his free time, you will find him being active, climbing mountains or playing soccer. Glen has been learning Thai, but is not yet at the level to be able to assist you thoroughly in that language. You can be sure that Glen will always be eager to listen and help wherever is needed.
CARLOS has been working at Ocean-Air Freight for over 2 years. Born in Cuba, Carlos moved to Canada in 2011. He is a certified APEGA Engineer and has worked as a Project Manager in the mining industry for more than 15 years. He has spent periods of time working in Cuba, Chile, Canada, Germany, and Italy, managing large projects in those countries. When he is able, Carlos loves playing soccer, basketball and baseball. Carlos speaks Spanish fluently. Since he started at Ocean-Air Freight, Carlos continually looks for ways to make our operations more efficient.
