Founded in 1992 (the year Hurricane Andrew struck Miami), Interworld Freight quickly established our status as a key player to South America when we were nominated to handle the cargo for a major, California-based consumer electronics company to Brazil.

Over time, the company has expanded our footprint to include operations in Colombia, Guatemala, Chile and the Dominican Republic. Our most recent branch location is Panama, opened in 2020 in the face of the challenges posed by the global pandemic.

Our growth has come from cargo owners and fellow global agents alike. A founding member of the World Cargo Alliance in 1999 and 2000, we hosted the meetings in our Miami offices. Today, the WCA is the largest global network of independent freight forwarders.

Today’s supply chains are increasingly complex and demanding as sourcing and manufacturing cross regional and global borders. Interworld Freight’s ability to manage air and sea freight shipments, from the simplest container or charter through to complex buyer’s consolidations overseas or in the United States are why we stand apart from our competition.

As one of the largest NVOCC’s by tonnage moving southward from the United States, Interworld Freight has the buying power and relationships to protect space and competitive pricing in the most challenging of times.

Interworld Freight is unique and unmatched in our ability to provide air and sea consolidation and transshipment services to the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Three distinct services are:
Air / Air – Air arrival, in-bond movement to Miami or another gateway and air to the final destination. Average transit time – 3 – 5 days.
Sea / Air – Sea freight to a US port of arrival or inland intermodal destination and air to the final destination. Average transit time – 15 – 20 days.
Air / Sea – Air arrival, in-bond movement to a loading port for consolidation and sea freight shipment to the port of destination. Average transit time – 6 – 15 days.
