In 1982, Frontier was established under the name of Frontier Packing & Transportation. There were only 3 employees and 2 trucks utilizing 2,000 SQ FT of warehouse space in Carson, California. Frontier’s early volumes were not growing and would not grow for some time. Like many young start-up companies, Frontier had its own struggles and difficulties in its first 3 years.
A limited number of customers and minimal cargo volume forced Frontier to attempt door-to-door sales, but we were continuously denied before any potential partnerships came into fruition. But Frontier did not give up, and instead, decided to provide the best possible service for their existing customers. This dedicated and loyal business strategy greatly helped Frontier end its first 3 years of difficulties. With incredible resilience and continued perseverance, Frontier was able to secure a small number of consistent
customers.
