Aviation Security / Known Consignor:
All air freight shipped worldwide must be protected against unauthorized access. Only air cargo classified as safe may be handed over to airlines. The “Regulated Agents” (RegB) play a decisive role here.
Cross Freight has the status of “Regulated Agent” (RegB)”, certified by the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA) and is allowed to accept and handle safe cargo. This means that your cargo retains the status of “safe air freight”
Information for our customers
With effect from 25 March 2013, the transitional period for the previous procedure
for authorisation as a “known consignor” will end.
On the basis of the new EU regulations, be certified in good time by the Federal Aviation Office with the status of “Known Consignor” (only the LBA gives a German consignor the status of Known Consignor, the status previously achieved loses its validity). As a “regulated agent” (RegB), we are also no longer allowed to recognise your company.
As of March 25, 2013, only air cargo shipments originating from a known consignor approved by the LBA and registered in the EU database (RAKCD) will be considered “safe”. All other shipments are classified as “unsafe” and must be thoroughly inspected before loading.
