About Booth's Transport Ltd
25 years up to 2019
Booth’s Transport has been operating for over 25 years and was founded by Graham Booth in the early 90s as an extension of his Manawatu farming operation. Graham’s sons Craig and Trevor Booth now operate the business which is still proudly headquartered in the Lower North Island distribution hub of Palmerston North.
Booth’s Transport grew from a single truck operation in Palmerston North, to over 100 vehicles, a team of 200, and branches and storage facilities in Wellington, Mount Maunganui, Auckland, and an operational network spanning the North Island, along with significant inter-island services.
We store a wide variety of products including food ingredients, agriculture chemicals, packaging, timber and fertilisers. In addition we also manage order fulfilment where we can store, pick, pack and dispatch to customers throughout New Zealand. This service is suitable for online businesses, importers, or simply those wishing to outsource the supply chain management to a third party.
We have approximately 20,000m2 of ambient dry store warehousing space located throughout the country.
Booth’s Transport has a fleet of top-of-the-line curtain-side truck and trailer units equipped with in-cab technology to offer quality nationwide door-to-door service. Although we specialise in bulk loads, we are equipped to handle multi-pick-up/multi-drop loads too. We offer a wide variety of transport options and our trained drivers will always go the extra mile to have your goods delivered on time and undamaged.
Capabilities:
We run a fleet of top-of-the-line curtain-side truck and trailer units that set us apart from the competition.
All trucks utilise in-cab technology such as E-Road, Cameras, Electronic Logbooks, and Sign on Glass POD.
Health and Safety is a priority and we utilise in-cab cameras, on-board weight management systems, and E-Road is used to manage driver safety.
Nationwide door to door service.
Bulk loads are our specialty, yet we are also very adept in handling multi-pick-up / multi-drop loads.
We strive to have the lightest truck and trailer units on the road, which enables us to economically move large volumes and weight-sensitive freight.
We regularly transport specialised goods, for example feed supplements for the rural industry, and a wide variety of palletised freight, produce, and foodstuffs.
We specialise in container transport of general and ambient temperature freight. The typical product mix is import/export containers, food products, packaging and other assorted products. Our 34 tonne maximum payload means reduced trips.
We have a new and efficient fleet built to the latest specifications for lower emissions and better reliablilty. The fleet has a wide range of capability and our drivers will go the extra mile to have your goods delivered on time and undamaged.
Our container handling fleet includes swinglifts, skeletal trailers, top mount forklifts, straddle carriers and generators.
We have low tare weight trucks and trailers for the cartage of heavy containers.
Modern multi axle trailers with electronic stability systems to meet the current rules.
We can transport 34T export/import containers under HPMV rules on selected routes.
Underslung and deck mounted generators for containers that require active refrigeration.
Leg over swinglifts for safe and efficient transhipping of heavy containers – minimising time on customer site.
Coordinate booking times at Ports.
